Series: swissvotes

Swissvotes is the most comprehensive database on Swiss popular votes. On the online platform www.swissvotes.ch, a wide range of information on all federal referendums since 1848 is freely available. The service is aimed at researchers, media professionals, politicians and interested members of the public. The database is operated by Année Politique Suisse at the University of Bern.

Articles based on this database appear in the Swissvotes DeFacto series. These include, for example, the Swissvotes voting portraits, which briefly describe the most important key points for each voting proposal – from the background to the voting campaign to the voting result. Small analyses on the practice and history of Swiss voting democracy are also published sporadically.
